As a photographer (and major animal lover), I fully believe dogs are family and fully support anyone who wants to have a photoshoot with their dog. I can feel the connection between dogs and their owners just like I can between other members of the family and they often make for such sweet additions.

Orange County has some of the most beautiful open spaces around — perfect for letting your dog roam a little and be their joyful, goofy self. Whether we’re exploring a sun-soaked field in Chester or catching golden hour on a hilltop trail, there’s plenty of room for zoomies, cuddles, and sweet moments that unfold naturally.

It’s not about perfect poses — it’s about real connection.

You don’t need a perfectly trained dog to make this work. In fact, the less “posed,” the better. I’ll guide you through it all, and we’ll keep things fun, relaxed, and full of treats. We’re after real connection — a loving glance, a big tail wag, a quiet moment where your pup leans into you like they always do. Those are the moments worth freezing in time.

A few tips for a successful photoshoot with your dog:

• Bring treats, toys, and maybe a leash you don’t mind being in a few photos.
  
• Let them run a bit before the session so they’re happy but not too wild.
  
• Coordinate your outfits with your pup’s vibe — think cozy, neutral, and outdoorsy. (Bonus: I can help with that, and I’ve got a list of client favorites like Don’t Stress the Dress Rentals too.)
